Kathleen Anita Nichols – 99, Windsor, passed away Tuesday evening, March 17, 2015, at Windsor Elms. Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Dr. M. E. and Ruby (Card) Devine. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and cooking Sunday dinners for the family. She was a member of Aylesford Union Church and the UCW. Kathleen is survived by her son, Gary (Diane), Bedford; daughter-in-law, Doris Nichols, Windsor; grandchildren, John (Kathleen), Toronto; Gregory (Kelly), Halifax; Jeffrey, Toronto; Natasha (Ron) Armstrong, Fall River; seven great grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, W. Paul Nichols; son, David; brother, Phillip Devine. Special thanks are extended to the staff of Osprey 1 at Windsor Elms. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert Street, P.O. Box 981, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 (902-798-8317), where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, March 23, 2015, Reverend Bill Gibson officiating. Reception will follow in the funeral home’s Elmcroft Reception Centre. Spring interment in Aylesford Union Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Kathleen’s memory to Canadian Cancer Society, 5826 South Street, Halifax, NS B3H 1S6 are welcomed.
