Bramber, Hants Co., passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2015, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Windsor, he was a son of the late Guy and Grace (Hartt) Hawboldt. Raymond worked at Heritage Memorials for 45 years as an engraver and loved working there. He is survived by his wife, Frances; daughter, Terri (Matthew) Herbert; granddaughters, Allison, Kyla, and Renee; special daughter, Cheryl (Richard) Harvey and her children Herman and Gavin; foster daughters, Leonise Thibodeau and Tracey MacPhee; brothers, Avery, Windsor; Richard, Newport Station; Grant (Donald), Dartmouth; Leonard (Frances), Wentworth; Lloyd (Janet), Tonge Hill; sisters, Melvina, Newport Station; Madeline, Mary, Irene (Grant) Northup, Ida (Steven) Smardon, all of Windsor; Elizabeth (Donald) Spencer, Summerville; step sisters, Ellen and Gloria, Ontario; Dorothy (Avery) Mason, Bedford; Doreen (Ted) Eagles, Martock; many nieces and nephews . Raymond was predeceased by brothers, Leroy, Gerald, Graydon, Myron, Leslie and Cedric; sister, Ruth; step mother, Blanche Sweet; step brothers, Carl and Don Sweet; step sister, Joyce. Raymond loved going on trips with his family and having his granddaughters with him made him so happy. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Hants Community Hospital for their excellent care, and Heritage Memorials for all their support. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., PO Box 981, Windsor, B0N 2T0 (902-798-8317), where the family will receive visitors from 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, June 23. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 24 in DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel. A reception will follow in the funeral home’s Elmcroft Reception Centre. Burial will follow in Bramber Cemetery, Bramber. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Raymond may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, Hants Community Hospital, 89 Payzant Dr., Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 or to a charity of one's choice.
