Obituary of James Vincent Frenette

Age 74, of Windsor, Nova Scotia passed away peacefully, Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the Hants Community Hospital. Born in Windsor, Hants Co. on May 18,1941 he was a son of the late Joseph Gerard Frenette and Kathleen Frances (Redmond). Jim loved working for the town of Windsor for a period of 18 years supporting the water system. During this time he was a dedicated firefighter for 25+ years with the town’s local fire station. Jim started the family run electrical business in 1971, which still bears his name to this day. He enjoyed aviation, war history, and spending time with his family (especially Jackson during coffee time). Jim is survived by his loving wife, Joan; daughter, Tina (Jerry); son, Tim (Lori); grandson, Jackson; brothers, Leonard (Rosalie), Johnny (Kay). Jim was predeceased by his beloved dog, Yukon. A very special thanks to Kate Storm and the transplant clinic, the Palliative Care unit at Hants Community Hospital, the Dialysis Centre at the VG, and also to Jack and Randy. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert Street, P.O. Box 981, Windsor B0N 2T0 (902-798-8317). There will be no visitation by request. A private family burial will be held in Maplewood Cemetery, King Street, Windsor. Private family invited gathering will follow the burial. Family flowers only by request. Donations in memory of Jim may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of HCH, Dialysis or Heart Transplant Unit(s) of Capital Health.
