SPENCE, Bruce Wayne It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bruce at home, at the age of 72, on Thursday, October 29, 2015. Born on May 31, 1943 in Windsor, he was a son of the late Norman and Rae (Duncan) Spence. Bruce was known as a gentle giant by many. He was well respected in the farming, forestry and trucking community. He was well known and liked by the community. Everyone who met Bruce enjoyed his presence. He loved getting together with his family to share stories which were enjoyed by all. Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Anna (MacDougall); only brother, George (Barb); daughter, Susanne (Wade); sons, Larry (Debra), Andrew (Kim) and Ian (Kathy); grandchildren, Emma, Ryleigh, Lane, Matthew and Brody. Special thanks to EMT's, the local fire department and RCMP who helped. Bruce will be missed by all who knew him. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., PO Box 981, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 (902-798-8317), where visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 and 6:30-8:30 p.m., Sunday, November 1. A funeral service celebrating Bruce's life will take place 11 a.m. Monday, November 2 in DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Bill Gibson officiating. A reception will immediately follow in the funeral home's Elmcroft Reception Centre. Private family interment will be held in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor. Family flowers only.
