CLEVELAND, Deborah Suzanne "Debbie" It is with heavy hearts that the family of Deborah "Debbie" Suzanne (Skelhorn) Cleveland announce her passing in the early morning of November 24, 2015, due to ongoing medical complications. Debbie was born April 3, 1949 in Windsor. She was predeceased by her parents, Norman Victor and Dorothea Vernice (Cox) Skelhorn. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Cleveland of Windsor; her sons, Jeffrey (Kim) of Sackville; Troy (Linda) of Petawawa, Ont. and Gregory (Denise) of Elmsdale; her grandchildren, Nikki-Rae, Lochlyn, Haley and Tyson and her great-grandchild, Oliver, all of whom she loved so very dearly. Debbie was a strong loyal friend, especially to Joan, Pauline and Tanya, to whom she liberally gave her common sense, wisdom about life and love. During her lifetime she served with the Royal Canadian Dragoons Ladies Auxiliary. Later she owned her own craft store in Windsor and then worked at Avon Valley Greenhouses as a floral designer. Debbie was an avid tole painter and loved to teach her craft to anyone who would sit with her. She could be found at home any time watching birds in her backyard amongst her favourite flowers in her gardens surrounding the house. Debbie's family will host a memorial reception at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 009, 35 Empire Lane, Windsor from 2:00 to 4:30 pm Friday, November 27. Any donations may be made in her memory to the Hants Community Hospital Palliative Care Unit or to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 009. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317).
